Charity Night brings nine local Ohio charities to the track to enjoy an evening of fun and excitement. Charities are paired up with a particular horse in a race and earn money for their charity depending on where their horse finishes. The participating charities have a chance of winning up to $10,000. Charity participants get an up close look at the harness racing industrywith starting gate rides and driver meet and greet. OHHA is hosting 35 students for an in depth look at harness racing as part of the OSU's ExploreAg Summer Camp. The high school students will be paired with trainers at the Delaware County fairgrounds, tour Sugar Valley Farm and enjoy a night at Scioto Downs.
The OHHA will be at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY for BreyerFest. BreyerFest is a celebration of horses featuring Breyer models and the real horses inspired by Breyer! It is a festival and horse show all in one. The OHHA will be bringing the virtual reality racebike, bone box, and leg wrapping station so participants can get an up close look of the Standardbred industry!
Attendees from the Ohio State Fair Horse Show will get an up close look of harness racing with our virtual reality racebike and test their overall horse knowledge.

Charities are paired up with a particular horse in a race and earn money for their charity depending on where their horse finishes. If their horse finishes first they win $10,000, second wins $5,000, and third place win $3,000. Those whole pace fourth through tenth received a $2,000 donation. Charity participants get an up close look at the harness racing industry by visiting the horses in the paddock as well as rides in the starting gate.
Over 65,000 FFA Students will attend the FFA Convention to learn more about agriculture. Their knowledge about horse anatomy and harness racing will be tested. The students will also get to identify horse bones and a leg wrapping contest will be held as well. They get to see what it's like being a catch driver with our VR racebike.
Putting it all together, your bet will be: “Your race track name + your race number + your horse’s number + your bet amount and type.”
